Hand forged Viking Longseax / Viking Langseax #24 is a large and robust and sharpened fighting weapon over 20 inches in length. The Langseax will hold an edge well and will not rust if neglected but may stain if mistreated. A big and bold for medieval Viking, LARP, and SCA.

  • Historically decorated Brass Nickle Silver Scabbard fittings.
  • 1095 stainless tool steel. (Rust Resistant)

  • Belt loops fit a 2 1/2 inch belt.

History: The Viking Longseax / Viking Langseax #24 is from the family of knives known as Seax, also known as hadseax, sax, seaxe, scramaseax, scramsax, means knife or cutting tool in Old English. In modern archaeology, the term seax is used specifically for the typically large knives worn by men in the 5th to the 11th century in the region roughly enclosed by Ireland, Scandinavia, and Northern Italy. The seax was most common in Germanic Tribes and Viking culture and often featured a very elaborate and decorative sheath.
