Hound & Fowl Viking and Anglo Saxon Drinking Horn 2-17
Anglo Saxon and Viking Drinking Horn featuring a Scandinavian Bird of Prey. Based on a horn from the National Museum in Copenhagen, Arhos, and features birds of prey described as "sculptural animals developing into interlace' or a knot work pattern. Embossed in yellow brass on the brim 1 and 3/4 inches wide. Comes with a Sutton Hoo Clip to assist in hanging the horn.
All the Drinking horns are made with Raymond of Raymonds Quiet Press.
How it is made:
The design is embossed onto sheet brass and then shaped to the horn. The metal brim is then riveted to the horn. The inside of the horn is then coated in bees wax. Cold beverages only! Hot drinks will melt the wax.
