The original is a stitched and nailed shoe. This version has a McKay stitched leather sole and is identical in outward appearance to the tunnel-stitch shoe. The pattern of the shoe is exact.  The front seam is period edge-to-edge saddle stitch with the treads out.  The Roman Cavalry Caligae Shoe is made of 5 to 6 oz top grain cow hide leather, leather soles, and modern thong.

Good for Roman reenactment and the SCA.

Available in Men's sizes, the Roman Cavalry Caligae Boot comes in brown.  Colors of brown can vary depending on leather availability.  Shoes may be any color from tan to dark brown.
